To use self-service, the legal entity that advertises and is billed must be based in a country marked as available.

Hong Kong is not in the seven markets.

OpenAI did not name Hong Kong in its 23 September announcement. If you are in Hong Kong, message us and we will check your options.

It is an early-stage channel.

OpenAI describes Ads Manager as a beta product. Results in Asia are not proven yet, so we recommend starting with a small test.

Can I advertise in ChatGPT in Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam?

Yes. OpenAI announced on 23 September 2026 that ChatGPT Ads are rolling out in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Taiwan, with self-service available in all seven.

Can Hong Kong businesses advertise on ChatGPT?

Hong Kong was not named in OpenAI's 23 September 2026 announcement, so self-service may not be open to a Hong Kong company yet. Availability changes quickly. Message us on WhatsApp and we will check your options.

Who sees ads in ChatGPT?

According to OpenAI, ads are shown to people on the Free and Go plans. Plus, Pro and Enterprise plans stay ad-free. Ads are clearly labelled and kept separate from ChatGPT's answers.

Will paying for ads make ChatGPT recommend my business?

No. OpenAI says advertising does not influence ChatGPT's answers. Ads appear in their own labelled space. To be cited inside answers, you need AI search optimization (GEO), which is a separate service.

How much do ChatGPT Ads cost?
